Major Derbyshire road reopens after police respond to ‘concern for safety’ incident

A major road in Derbyshire has reopened after a closure due to concerns for a man’s safety.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident this morning between the A38/B6441 Hartshay Roundabout and Wyatts Way in Ripley.

The A610 was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the situation.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area as a result.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said the incident was brought to a safe conclusion and that the man was left in the care of ambulance staff.
