Woman, 81, taken to hospital with head injury after serious collision near Chesterfield

An 81-year-old woman was rushed to hospital with head and leg injuries.
An injured pensioner has been taken to hospital following a serious collision near Chesterfield.
The incident took place at Heathfield Close in Wingerworth, just after 5pm on Monday, October 26, and involved a van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 81-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with head and leg injuries following the collision.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire police said: “Officers were called out to reports of a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian in Heathfield Close, Wingerworth, on Monday 26 October at about 5.10pm.
“An 81-year-old woman was taken to hospital to be treated for head and leg injuries.”
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
