Derbyshire rail passengers warned of disruption this weekend - as engineering works between Chesterfield and Sheffield impact East Midlands Railway trains
East Midlands Railway trains will be subject to disruption this weekend amid engineering works between Chesterfield and Sheffield.
Engineering works are taking place between Chesterfield and Sheffield, as well as between London St Pancras International and Cricklewood - closing some lines and leading to disruption for East Midlands Railway services on Sunday, October 25.
A National Rail spokesperson said: “A reduced timetable will operate to and from London St Pancras International.
“One train per hour will run between London St Pancras International and Sheffield, along with an hourly service on the London St Pancras International - Nottingham route.
“An amended timetable will operate between London St Pancras International and Corby.
“Additionally, the 8.22am and 9.22am Sheffield to London St Pancras International trains will depart Sheffield earlier than normal due to a diversion between Sheffield and Chesterfield extending journey times.”
