'The Après Bar has become a real focal point' - tipi brings taste of TV series Yellowstone to Peak District
Themed bourbon whisky cocktails and American-influenced food on menu.
An award-winning restaurant has reopened its tipi Apres Bar for another winter season, bringing a taste of the US to the Peak District.
This pop-up on the terrace at Bank House, Hathersage, enables customers to enjoy outdoor drinks and dining in a fully covered, heated and themed tipi.
The Apres Bar is inspired by the hit US series Yellowstone and has Aztec prints, horse tack, and log burning fires.
This year the tipi offers Pabst Blue Ribbon on draught and themed cocktails using Bulliet Bourbon whisky. The food offering leans toward an American influence with a Rocky Mountain sharing board, nachos, and smoked chilli wings.

Lawrence Key, operations director of Bank House Hathersage, said “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing back our Apres Bar for another year and can’t wait to welcome customers to experience this year’s exciting new theme.
“The Après Bar has become a real focal point for the Hathersage community, bringing together our loyal regulars, local residents and visitors from further afield, who are taking a trip to the Peak District.
“At a time when the hospitality industry continues to face significant challenges, it’s important to find creative ways to diversify and give people something different.”
First opened in 2022, the Après Bar is an immersive experience created by the team of Bank House and local luxury events stylist Sophie, of Luxe Events.
Bank House is part of the Northern Collective, a hospitality, retail and leisure business with venues across the Peak District, Chesterfield and Sheffield including Castleton Coffee Co and The Dore Bar & Grill.
The venue won best contemporary bar and restaurant awards in 2019 and 2021, presented by the lifestyle magazine Westside.
