Full list of Derbyshire County Council services that will be closed over Easter

The local authority’s Community Testing Centres, Household Waste Recycling Centres, Libraries and the Community Response Unit will have reduced opening hours across the county this weekend.
Derbyshire council’s call centre which is open to help residents with queries will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, except for urgent social care calls.

Hide AdCall Derbyshire will be open as normal for the rest of the Easter period including Easter Saturday for people to call on 01629 533190.
The call centre also provides an emergency property service in relation to council buildings, but in a medical emergency or a situation where a crime is being committed residents should ring 999.
Derbyshire County Council’s Community Response Unit – which aims to make sure vulnerable residents are supported through the coronavirus outbreak – will also be shut on
Good Friday and Easter Monday.
All of the region’s Community Covid-19 Testing Centres are closed on Easter Sunday but will be open ‘as normal’ on all other days across the bank holiday.

Hide AdMatlock’s County Hall is currently closed to visitors because of coronavirus and while libraries are open in line with current government guidance for the local authority’s book and borrow service – all libraries will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
The Derbyshire Record Office is currently closed to the public until further notice due to Covid-19 restrictions but enquiry, copying and research services are continuing as normal.
School term dates can be found online, although some school holidays do vary and parents or carers are advised to contact the relevant school for confirmation of term dates and inset days.
Residents should only visit recycling centres at Easter if it is ‘vital’ according to Derbyshire County Council.

Hide AdHousehold waste recycling centres are open from 8:30am to 6pm every day over Easter but only for items that people ‘absolutely have to get rid of’.
The council urges residents to visit centres on weekdays, especially before 10am and after 4pm when they are quieter, rather than at weekends and to avoid visiting over the Easter holidays if possible.
