A Peak District bed and breakfast business has collared a national award.

Robin Hood Farm B&B in Bakewell has scooped the title of best for walkies in PetsPyjamas Dog-Friendly Travel Awards 2020.

Judges were impressed by the business being within easy reach of nearby villages, magnificent stately homes and rolling landscape, affording guests an abundance of dog walks on their doorstep. The property itself, which has resident spaniels, has 2.5 acres of natural hillside gardens and an orchard for clients to stroll in.

Speaking about their award, Chris Fairest, owner of Robin Hood B+B says: “ As dog owners and lovers ourselves, we know how important it is to be able to holiday with our pets and it’s important to us to ensure our guests can do the same and enjoy a break away in lovely surroundings without having to worry about leaving their pets at home!

The awards were judged on dog-loving atmosphere and staff at all times; three or more dog-friendly rooms available to book; four-legged access to some of the property’s communal areas and the ability to dine with their owners ; dog facilities and provisions such as a bed, bowls and treats in the hotel room or cottage; and nearby dog-friendly attrractions such as walks or a beach.
