It will be the first in a series of short videos encouraging shoppers to make use of the many independent stores in Bolsover, Shirebrook, Clowne and surrounding villages.

Bolsover District Council leader Steve Fritchley hopes they will help breathe life back into the local economy as it bids to recover from the lockdown.

“Bolsover district is home to a number of towns and villages where a large amount of independent businesses can be found on every high street,” a spokesperson for the council said.

“But if we don't use them, we will lose them, so we want to show our support to these businesses.”

The video features footage from a host of different independent shops in the district.
