Other speakers at Celebrate Chesterfield will include Elizabeth Fagan, chair of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, Dr Paula Holt, pro vice-chancellor and dean at the University of Derby, and Huw Bowen, chief executive of Chesterfield Borough Council.

Peter Swallow, chair of Destination Chesterfield, which is organising the conference, said: “Celebrate Chesterfield 2020 is particularly significant – not least as it recognises the tenth anniversary of Destination Chesterfield, but it is an opportunity to look back over the last decade and see all that the town has achieved in terms of investment.

“It is something we all should be proud of given the climate of political and economic uncertainty, which has surrounded the town since Destination Chesterfield was established in 2010.
