Leon Bamford turned 41 on Sunday.
Since he and his wife Amy couldn’t head out to celebrate given the current circumstances, she recreated 10 of their favourite Chesterfield pubs in their town centre home.
They had a jolly good time going from ‘pub’ to ‘pub’ and were joined along the way by friends – on video call, of course.
Leon said: “It was a great surprise.

“It was better than I could have ever expected to celebrate in lockdown.”
Amy, who owns Rate Good Brownies on Chatsworth Road in the town, added: “It was fab and some of the pubs have been in touch to say they loved it.
“Other people might want to do the same.”
The night consisted of visits to ‘The Chesterfield Arms’, ‘The Portland Hotel’, ‘The Rectory’, ‘The Market Pub’, ‘Einstein’s’, ‘The County Music Bar’, ‘Junction’, ‘The Royal Oak’, ‘The Tramway Tavern’ and ‘Chandlers’.

Pubs, restaurants and cafes across the UK have been closed since the evening of March 20 to tackle the spread of coronavirus.
On March 20, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the situation would be reviewed each month.
The BBC reported on Monday that around 50 million pints of beer are expected to go unused in barrels if pubs remain closed into the summer because of Covid-19.
