Michael Broomhead has signed up for the challenge at Tatton Park in Knutsford, Cheshire, on October 2.

Adrenaline-junkie Michael – who has previously completed a skydive, the world’s fastest zip wire and an abseil down Chesterfield Town Hall for various good causes – said: “I really can’t wait to reach dizzying heights and jump off a platform at 300ft – it’ll be such a thrill.

“I’m raising money for Ashgate Hospicecare, which provides compassionate, specialist palliative and end of life care, free of charge, to patients with a life-limiting illness and their families across north Derbyshire.

“It’s a wonderful charity and needs support now more than ever as a result of the pandemic.

“Thank you to everyone who’s sponsored me,” added 33-year-old Michael.
