“Thank you so much to whoever it was,” Stacey posted on Facebook.

"This gives me more faith in humanity! Please help me find the rest of his things and keep sharing.

"You could also hand them in to Staveley or Chesterfield police stations and they will bring them to me.”

Fourteen-year-old Logan Folger died at Sheffield Children’s Hospital after being rescued from the River Rother, close to the Chesterfield Canal, by emergency teams.

The opening of Logan’s inquest heard he was trying to save one of his friends from the water when they got into difficulty.

Stacey says the items have huge sentimental value for the family.

"So I'm begging if anyone either taken them or has since brought them please please could I have them back as they mean so much to me and us as a family.

"No judgement will be made, no names will be mentioned. I just need my boy’s beloved belongings back."
