Bolsover Castle to turn blue in tribute to NHS

Mark Fletcher, Conservative MP for Bolsover, said he contacted English Heriatge – which owns the attraction – after a number of constituents got in touch with him to say they would like to see the castle illuminated to thank our NHS heroes.

It has been confirmed this will happen from this Thursday night.

Mr Fletcher said: “I received a number of messages from constituents, who asked me whether it might be possible for Bolsover Castle to be lit up in blue.

“I approached English Heritage with their suggestion and have been informed that this will happen from this Thursday evening.

“The castle will, in fact, be consistently lit blue over the coming weeks and I hope everyone enjoys this special sight.

“I am very grateful to English Heritage for making this possible and to those constituents who brought the suggestion to me.”
