Software company grows and invests in Chesterfield with move to new office and recruitment plan

“Our business grew from practical experience of the challenges employers face”

A health and safety consultancy and software business has taken an exciting step forward by moving to new premises in Chesterfield.

TENSH Ltd is now based at Blenheim Court on Newbold Road where its directors Paul Brownell and Rob English have big plans. Rob said: “We’ve got space for 30 and over the next year, two years, the plan is to take on that amount of people in the local area.”

Their business helps companies manage compliance, support their workforce and spend less time on paperwork. With over 10,000 users and a new office near Chesterfield town centre, TENSH combines local relationships with a national reach.

Paul said: “Our business grew from practical experience of the challenges employers face. Owners and managers often juggle safety documents, training records, inspections and client requirements alongside running their business. We developed Tensh Pro to bring these activities together in one accessible platform.

“The software allows businesses to manage documents, complete digital forms and checklists, organise training and collect staff signatures. Our consultancy team also provides practical advice, prepares risk assessments and method statements, and supports health and safety accreditations.

“We work across construction, manufacturing and specialist trades, with several local construction companies already trusting us to support their operations. Customer feedback helps us develop features that solve everyday problems.”

Prior to relocating to Newbold Road, TENSH Ltd was based at Dunston Innovation Centre.

Paul said: “As we grow and invest in Chesterfield, we want more people to know where we are, what we do and how we can support their businesses. We’re keen to build stronger connections across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and become a familiar part of the local business community.

“Our ambition is to grow sustainably, improve our software and maintain the personal service our customers value, building a successful technology business in Chesterfield that helps other businesses succeed.

”From two guys at a desk in a dining room to our new office with staff, we are growing and we will be investing in Chesterfield.”
