Motorcyclist involved in serious Matlock smash
A motorcyclist was knocked off his bike and had to be freed from under it after a serious accident in Matlock today.
The collision - which involved the biker and another car - took place on the A615 Alfreton Road / Causeway late this morning.
Eyewitness, Kimberley Cole, said the incident took place at a ‘hatched’ section of road near a petrol station.
She said: “He was trapped with bike on his leg. My husband and three other guys had to lift the bike free of him.
“My husband had already phoned for ambulance but the Red Cross came straight to scene to give first aid.
“We then guided traffic to keep people flowing through best they could.
“Eventually the ambulance and police arrived.”
The condition of the motorcyclist is unknown.
