Keeping music alive

A well–established group of musical performers has been given a helping hand thanks to Rotarians.

Matlock Rotary Club awarded £250 to Matlock Musical Theatre, which was established in 107.

Rotary club president Peter Wigglesworth said: “We are pleased to be able to help a well established local club to continue providing musical entertainment around Matlock and hope that Matlock Musical Theatre continue to perform for another 105 years.”
The chairman of the theatre group, Philip Allwood, said “We are grateful for the support given by the Rotary Club of Matlock.

“This donation will help us to continue performing musical shows like our next performance ‘World Wide Christmas’ at the Imperial Rooms, Matlock, on December 1.”
