The fire involves a barn on Newton Road in Tibshelf.
A number of firefighters from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire are in attendance at the incident.
A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We are currently dealing with the large fire.
“The fire is approximately 50 metres by 50 metres.
“People are advised to avoid the area.”
