Body found in Sheffield in search for missing Chesterfield man

Police searching for missing Chesterfield man Michael Burton have found a body in Sheffield.

Mr Burton, 54, left a house he had been staying at in Top Road, Calow, on Sunday.

Officers found the body of a man at an address in Sheffield during a search on Monday.

A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “Mr Burton’s family have been made aware and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.”

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
