Elderly man dies after being hit by car in Derbyshire town – as police launch appeal for witnesses

The incident took place along Station Road in Darley Dale, near the crossroads with Old Road and Church Road, at around 5.30pm on Monday, December 9.
A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: “A 73-year-old man died following a collision with a silver VW Polo. The man’s family are aware and are being supported by officers.

Hide Ad“The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
“We want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, in particular anyone with dashcam footage that may have captured the incident or the moments leading up to it.”
