Police are urging witnesses to come forward after an elderly man died – following a collision in a Derbyshire town.

The incident took place along Station Road in Darley Dale, near the crossroads with Old Road and Church Road, at around 5.30pm on Monday, December 9.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: “A 73-year-old man died following a collision with a silver VW Polo. The man’s family are aware and are being supported by officers.

“The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
