Delays for drivers on M1 in Derbyshire after lane closures cause six-mile traffic queues

Traffic monitoring site Inrix has reported that two lanes are closed on the M1 northbound to allow for emergency repairs.

The affected area is between J28, which connects the motorway to the A38 between Alfreton and Mansfield, and J29, which links to the the A617 between Chesterfield and Mansfield.

Traffic is queuing for around six miles, and motorists can expect delays of around 30 minutes.
