Warning to drivers after car criminals target vehicles in Derbyshire village

Police have warned drivers to be on their guard after a series of thefts from cars parked overnight in a Derbyshire village.

Officers from Alfreton Safer Neighbourhood Team said the crimes had taken place in nearby Swanwick.

A spokesperson said on Thursday, May 26: “We have received reports today of further theft from motor vehicles overnight in the Swanwick area.

Police have warned drivers to be on their guard after a series of thefts from cars parked overnight in a Derbyshire village.

“Offences have been reported in the Pentrich Road, New Street, Minster Way and Vicarage Close areas.”
