Three arrested on the M1 heading to Nottingham after Chesterfield burglary

Three people were arrested on the M1 heading back to Nottingham following a burglary in Chesterfield.

Derbyshire Roads Policing unit said car parts were stolen from a commercial premises in the town overnight, with a silver Mitsubishi identified as being involved in the incident.

Officers stopped the vehicle at junction 26 of the M1 in Nottingham and arrested three suspects.

The suspects' vehicle was stopped at Junction 26 of the M1.

Property was also recovered from the car, including three steering wheels.

The unit was supported by police dogs and armed officers from Derbyshire Constabulary and Nottinghamshire Police.
