Jane Johnson, 59, of Thirlmere Drive, Dronfield: Guilty of two counts of assault by beating an emergency worker and using threatening behaviour. Given 18-month community order with six-month alcohol treatment requirement and 12 rehabilitation activity sessions. Made to pay £350 compensation and £90 victim surcharge.

Stefan Knighton, 46, of Southgate Way, Barrow Hill: Guilty of assault by beating. Given 12-month community order with 12-week curfew and 15 rehabilitation activity sessions. Made to pay £50 compensation.

Adam Coupland, 40, of Newbold Court, Newbold: Guilty of assault by beating an emergency worker and committing a further offence while serving a suspended sentence. Jailed for 38 weeks because offence so serious. Made to pay £128 victim surcharge.

Thomas Fletcher, 41, of Norman Street, Ilkeston: Guilty of possessing a knife longer than three inches in a public place, damaging a police vehicle and failing to surrender to custody having been released on bail. Case adjourned.

Jack Parkins, 24, of Wright Avenue, Ripley: Guilty of driving while above the prescribed limit for cannabis. Fined £80, made to pay £85 court costs and £34 victim surcharge. Banned from driving for 12 months.

Amy Baker, 35, of Meadow Court, Kilburn, Belper: Guilty of possessing a quantity of cocaine and diamorphine. Discharged conditionally for two years, made to pay £22 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
