Public warned not to approach convict who has escaped from Derbyshire prison

A convict serving time for burglary and assault has absconded from Sudbury open prison in Derbyshire.

Justin Leach, 43, absconded from the prison this morning (Thursday, April 9) at 11.50am.

He was convicted at Gloucester Crown Court in 2019 for burglary and assault and was jailed for two years and four months.

Leach, who is from Cheltenham and who still has family in the area, is white, 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build with blue eyes.

He has a tattoo of a Pitbull on his left arm and a scar on his forehead.
