Police seize Shirebrook driver's car for second time in three months after motorist caught without insurance
Officers in Shirebrook seized the vehicle of one of their ‘best customers’ after they were caught driving again without insurance or a valid driving licence over the weekend.
Police from the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit had previously recovered another car from the motorist before Christmas last year, as the driver was found to not have a complete licence or car insurance.
But in a message posted to Twitter, officers said one of their ‘best customers’ had been found repeating the same offences, while driving a Ford in Shirebrook in the early hours on February 28.
The vehicle was then seized by police.
One person replied: “Good stop chaps! And thank you. I don't understand how such drivers are able (and therefore 'allowed') to repeat such offences, and put the safety, security and (possibly lives) at risk.”
While another user wrote: “It’s always nice when the same customers keep coming back.”
