Police seize car from uninsured Chesterfield delivery driver – who was ‘taking fast food literally’

Police seized a Chesterfield delivery driver’s vehicle after they were caught speeding past officers – and later found to lack the right insurance.

On Friday, July 29, the Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit spotted a speeding driver in Chesterfield.

The DRPU tweeted: “This driver was taking the term ‘fast food’ literally and failed to see our speed check at Whittington Hill whilst doing 45mph in a 30mph limit.”

Officers eventually stopped the motorist, and discovered that he had no business cover on the insurance for the vehicle he was using to make deliveries. The driver’s car was subsequently seized.
