Police probe continues after three dogs stolen from farm in Derbyshire

Derbyshire police are appealing for more information, as their investigation continues into the theft of three dogs who were stolen from a farm last week.

The burglary is believed to have taken place sometime between 7pm on Tuesday, August 3 and 8.45am on Wednesday, August 4 at Brookfield Farm on West Road in Spondon.

During the theft, three dogs were taken including two Cockapoos named Elvis and Tony, along with a Cocker Spaniel called Remy.

Detective Sergeant Scott McDermott said: “The theft of these dogs is causing considerable distress to those who owned and cared for them and we would like to thank everyone who has responded to appeals on social media so far.

“Please do keep contacting us with information about the burglary, and if you think you may have noticed one of these dogs in your area, contact your local force so they can help.”

Derbyshire police are encouraging all owners to get their dogs microchipped, so they can reunite pets with their owners if they are found.

Anyone who has information about the burglary should contact the force using one of their non-emergency methods and quoting reference number 21*436321 in any correspondence.

People can submit reports to officers by sending them a private message on Facebook, Twitter, by completing an online contact form on their website or dialling 101.
