Police confirmed on Tuesday, April 27, that they will use extra powers in the centre of Shirebrook to keep the town free from anti-social behaviour, by redirecting and breaking up groups of potential troublemakers.
The dispersion order, which is in place from 5pm Wednesday, April 28 until 5pm the following day, prevents large groups from gathering on King Edward Street, parts of Carter Lane and Ashbourne Street, along with other areas.

The dispersion order, which was issued following concerns about groups of youths gathering, gives police in Shirebrook the power to order people to leave the area for the 24 hour period and they can be arrested if they fail to comply.
