Police board up Chesterfield home to remove lodgers

Derbyshire Police and Chesterfield Borough Council boarded up the door of a property in the town centre yesterday, to remove lodgers who had allegedly been staying there.

Officers from Chesterfield Safer Neighbourhood Team attended a home on Wren Park Close in Grangewood along with the local authority on March 23 in order to get rid of lodgers who they were told had been staying there.

Nobody was inside the flat when police and council workers arrived.

But the door has been boarded up to prevent individuals from returning.
