Man arrested overnight on suspicion of stealing from cars in Chesterfield

An investigation has been launched after Derbyshire Constabulary arrested a man on suspicion of carrying out thefts from vehicles in Chesterfield last night (April 19).

He was apprehended by police overnight yesterday on suspicion of stealing from cars in the Newbold area.

Officers are conducting enquiries to establish how many crimes the suspect could be associated with.

PCSO for Chesterfield South Suzanne Gouldsbrough sent out an alert to residents following his arrest.
