A group of six people from Doncaster who drove from to Bakewell ‘for exercise’ have been warned by police about breaching lockdown rules.

Bakewell, Hathersage and White Peak Villages Police Safer Neighbourhood Team described the cross-county outing as ‘not ideal’ as under current national lockdown restrictions people are only permitted to exercise in their local area.

In a post on Facebook officers said the six Doncaster residents ‘didn’t quite get the memo of exercise with one other [person]’.

The group received a warning from police and dispersed.
