Friends from Leicestershire and Lancashire punished for visiting McDonald’s in Chesterfield during lockdown
Three friends from Leicestershire and Lancashire have been punished by police for travelling to Chesterfield during lockdown.
In a tweet on Monday, Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit quipped that the pals visited the ‘very well-known exercise location of McDonald’s’ at Derby Road.
The tweet said two of them were from Leicestershire and the other was from Lancashire.
Their vehicle had a smashed front screen and did not have wipers.
They were ‘prohibited from further movement’ and issued with ‘Covid tickets’, the tweet added.
No further information has been released.
