Chesterfield drivers arrested for possession of suspected Class A drugs
Derbyshire police arrested two drivers in Chesterfield yesterday after they were found to be in possession of suspected Class A drugs.
The force’s road crime unit followed the motorist driving an Audi in Chesterfield on Thursday, August 12 who they said “kindly went down a dead end” as they were about to pull the vehicle over.
While searching the vehicle, officers found “numerous wraps” of suspected cocaine on display in the centre console and also a key which opened a safe in a nearby property which contained further suspected cocaine and cannabis.
The driver was arrested and the suspected drugs seized.
Earlier, officers from the Derbyshire Road Crime Unit arrested a woman driving a Toyota Yaris in Chesterfield.
The force said the “clearly undeterred” driver of the vehicle was already “known” to officers as she was arrested on suspicion of Possession With Intent To Supply a couple of weeks ago.
She was arrested again yesterday after more suspected Class A drug wraps were found.
