Appeal after man suffered serious injuries following assault in Derbyshire

Officers in Derbyshire are calling on the public to come forward with information, after a 50-year-old man was seriously injured over the weekend.

Police received reports of a serious assault in May Street, Ilkeston at around 11pm on Saturday, May 1.

The victim, a man in his 50s, has been taken to hospital with serious, but not believed to be life-threatening, injuries.

Derbyshire Constabulary say enquiries into the assault are continuing and urge anyone with information to contact the force quoting reference 21*239975.
