Driver taken to hospital after car and lorry crash in Derbyshire

A motorist has been rushed to hospital, after a crash between a car and a tipper lorry in Belper this afternoon (Tuesday, May 4).

Derbyshire police, East Midlands Ambulance Service and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at Bullbridge Hill earlier today.

A car and a tipper lorry collided and the driver of the car has been taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

The road which was previously blocked, has now been reopened and the vehicles recovered.
