Crash closes busy A-road between Chesterfield and Peak District in both directions

An A-road which connects Chesterfield and the Peak District has been shut by police following a collision.

At 9.30am, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that they were attending a crash on the A619 Baslow Road.

Derbyshire Police have closed the route in both directions. The closure is set to remain in place for some time, and drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible.
