The carnival, which is one of the biggest in the county, attracted as many people as ever and everyone was delighted with the number of floats, bands and all those who took part in the event’s famous procession.
Co-organiser Dennis Mooney said: “We’ve not counted in all the money yet but we’re confident that we will once again have a lot to hand out to local charities as we do every year.”
Our photographer Paul Robinson captured all the fun from the day. To see a slideshow of pictures, click the link in the right-hand panel. And if you would like to order any of his snaps, ring 01246 504500.
