5. Johnny Vegas - Melbourne Hall
Johnny Vegas is certainly a fan of Derbyshire - choosing Melbourne Hall in the south of the county as the site for his vintage vehicle glampsite. Vegas said: “When we realised we needed a new home we were wondering whether we could find anywhere that came close to the original. When we came to look around (Melbourne Hall) we were absolutely thrilled at the prospect of starting anew. It’s a beautiful part of the country and just kind of love at first sight.” Photo: Brian Eyre

6. Richard Hammond - Matlock Bath
Hammond was filming in nearby Cromford back in 2021, as part of a series called ‘Britain’s Great Rivers’, before surprising locals by popping into The Fishpond at Matlock Bath for a drink. During the show, Hammond also used the Heights of Abraham cable car - and said that there was “something brilliant about unexpected little tourist attractions like this.” Photo: Stuart C.
