Derbyshire and the Peak District are great places for a unique day out, with a number of remarkable show caverns and caves dotted across the county.

9. Robin Hood’s Stride
The circular route around Robin Hood’s Stride - at around 2.7 miles - is great for families. There is plenty along the way to keep children entertained, with a rope swing, huge rocks and trees to climb, and a cave to explore. Photo: Photo © Brian Frost (cc-by-sa/2.0)
