9. Deborah Bull
Deborah Bull, as known as Baroness Bull, is a former successful ballet dancer turned columnist from Derby. She has written for several national publications, including The Telegraph, in which she had column that ran from 1999 to 2001. Photo: Tristan Fewings
10. Bella Hardy
Bella Hardy is a folk musician from Edale who has been releasing music since 2002. She's created nine full length albums - some of her songs have even netted her awards. In 2014, she was named as Folk Singer of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and in 2012, her song "The Herring Girl" won the Best Original Song Award. Photo: -
11. Hilary Mantel
Hilary Mantel, born in Glossop, is known for writing one of the great modern historical novels - Wolf Hall. She followed this up with Bring up the Bodies in 2012 and The Mirror & The Light in 2020, both of which also received wide critical acclaim. Photo: Peter Summers
