Coronavirus: Latest official statistics on deaths and confirmed cases in Chesterfield and elsewhere in Derbyshire

At 3pm on Tuesday, 30 people were being treated for the virus at the Royal. Two of them were in the intensive treatment unit.
The hospital has revealed that a total of 238 people have been able to return home after being treated for the novel coronavirus since March 21.

Hide AdUniversity Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 450 deaths involving Covid-19, Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 11 deaths and Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has recorded two deaths.
Meanwhile, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has confirmed that the deaths of 211 people in Derbyshire care homes involved Covid-19 between April 10 and May 15.
The ONS said 155 care home patients died in Derbyshire county and 56 died in Derby city during that timeframe.
Latest Government statistics also show there are now 2,138 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across Derbyshire – 1,574 in Derbyshire county and 564 in Derby city.

Erewash – 169 confirmed cases
High Peak – 195 confirmed cases
North East Derbyshire – 300 confirmed cases
South Derbyshire – 224 confirmed cases
