23 Derbyshire primary schools rated Outstanding or Good in 2022 by Ofsted

We have gathered the Derbyshire infant and junior schools which have been rated ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted inspectors in 2022.
Ofsted inspectors visit schools across England to ensure that the educational institutions are performing well and preparing pupils for further education and life in a community.
Each school is given a rating – outstanding, good, requires improvement, or inadequate.

17. Stanton in Peak Church of England Primary School

Alfreton Woodbridge Junior School has been rated as good across al categories on inspection carrie out on June 28 and 29. Inspectors found that reading is a high priority at Woodbridge School. It is taught well and the reading curriculum is well-sequenced. Leaders monitor absence and follow up quickly when pupils are not in school. The report concluded that the school is inclusive and pupils celebrate difference, while challenging racism and stereotypes. Photo: Brian Eyre
Inspection conducted on May 4 and 5 found that Alfreton Park Community Special School continues to be a good school. Inspectors believe that pupils are eager to attend and staff are very caring and supportive. Parents have a positive view of the school. They appreciate the support and information they receive. Leaders have secured improvements in attendance, however rates of persistent absence remain high and inspectors suggested that leaders should ensure all pupils attend school regularly. Glebe Junior School has significantly improved. Rated as inadequate during a previous inspection, has been rated good across all the categories on July 12 and 13. Ofsted inspectors found that leaders have a 'relentless focus' on school improvement. They want all pupils to succeed. Leaders have created a broad and interesting curriculum that supports this ambition. The curriculum is enhanced by out-of-school trips and additional experiences. Photo: Google street view
