The Bradbury Bar and Bistro has submitted a licence application to Chesterfield Borough Council ahead of its opening on Chatsworth Road in the town.

Documents on Chesterfield Borough Council website say: “The Bradbury Bar & Bistro will be a small low-key high-end bar/ restaurant welcoming both local residents and visitors to the area, to enjoy a full breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menu.

"The premises is located on the first floor in a row of shops, services and hospitality units on Chatsworth Road.”

In their application to the council, owners of the bistro say they hope to serve breakfasts from 8am, Sunday roasts at weekends and tapas-style meals from 9pm.

There will be a number of balcony tables for customers but people standing up will not be able to drink while outside.

Only recorded music will be played at the venue, with the exception of some ‘low key’ acoustic sessions.

The venue wants to open from 8am-11.30pm Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, and from 8am-1.30am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

A number of photos have been published on the bar’s Facebook page showing the bar area taking shape ahead of its opening.

The licensing decision will be taken at a later date by the licensing department at Chesterfield Borough Council.
