The Peak District is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful parts of the country – and there is a wide variety of stellar pubs for those making the trip to England’s first national park.
CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2022, which lists thousands of the UK’s best pubs, includes a number of the Peak District’s country inns – and these are 10 of the venues recommended by the experts at CAMRA.
5. Red Lion, Litton
The guide says: “Nestling on the green and the only pub in the village, the Red Lion is a welcome refuge for locals and visitors alike. A large fireplace warms several rooms off a central passageway. Fresh food is served all day, every day. The pub holds a beer festival during the annual Wakes Week at the end of June, with village events including a well dressing on the green.” Photo: Google
