Derbyshire towns to host award-winning comedy The Memory of Water

A theatre group is launching its first show of the year in the Derbyshire Dales.

The High Tor Players will present The Memory of Water at Bakewell Town Hall on January 20 and at Matlock’s Imperial Rooms on January 21 and 22.

Shelagh Stephenson’s Olivier award winning comedy revolves around three sisters who are reunited on the eve of their mother’s funeral when memories are rekindled and stories are shared.

This presentation was due to be staged in November but was rescheduled due to one of the company testing positive for Covid the week before curtain-up.
