The work of the much-loved late Wildlife Artist Pollyanna Pickering will be celebrated in an exhibition to be staged in her private gallery at Brookvale House, in Oaker, Matlock, from 7th – 15th November. It will run from 10am – 6pm and admission is free.

The exhibition will celebrate the exclusive launch of a new book - Inspired by Nature -a celebration of Pollyanna’s artwork, beautifully matched with inspirational quotations.
Throughout her life Pollyanna loved to collect inspirational and beautiful quotes. She would tear them from magazines, copy them from books and scribble words in the margin of her sketchbook when she was out in the field. The phrases she noted down made her laugh, pause or think.
Many related to her deep lifelong love of wildlife and the natural world. Knowing how these lovely words resonated so deeply with Pollyanna that they almost seemed to have been written with her in mind, her daughter Anna-Louise felt that they would speak to everyone who has a love of both art and the written word.
She has compiled a selection of these timeless phrases into a collection which she has paired with over 50 of Pollyanna’s paintings in this lavishly illustrated book, many of which are published here for the very first time.

Visitors will be able to view over fifty original paintings – including several which feature in the new publication. Pollyanna’s daughter and business partner Anna-Louise will be on hand throughout and will be pleased to chat to visitors about the artwork and the wildlife which inspired her.
Visitors will also be able to browse at leisure through the latest additions to Pollyanna's extensive ranges of greetings cards, fine art and limited edition prints, and a wide variety of gift ware featuring her work - including stationery, jigsaws, tea sets, china mugs, linen ware, cross stitch kits, signed sets of her postage stamps issued internationally, and first day covers for the Royal Mail.
Visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to purchase prize draw tickets to win a unique hand embellished picture. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout. A minimum of 10% of all purchases will be donated to British Wildlife Conservation through The Pollyanna Pickering Foundation.
