Derbyshire woman running marathon in memory of her late mum
"If you can donate anything at all to this amazing charity through my fundraiser, it would mean the absolute world to myself and my family."
A Derbyshire woman will be pounding the streets of the nation's capital to raise funds in memory of her late mum, who passed away from brain cancer

Lily Cramer, who is 22 years old, is running the 2027 London Marathon for Brain Research UK in memory of her mum, Ann.
Lily said: " She fell ill very suddenly in 2024 after having two seizures out of the blue, and within 3 weeks underwent major brain surgery to have a tumour removed. Despite radical surgery and further treatment, this aggressive cancer took my mum from us within just one year of her diagnosis.

"Glioblastoma is a terminal brain cancer that kills three quarters of its patients within a year of diagnosis, and is estimated to be diagnosed in 3,200 people every year in the UK. Sadly, there are no effective treatments.
"I have so far raised 25% of my target amount, but am using a range of methods to raise further funds such as documenting my training online and hopefully holding a bake sale or two!
"If you can donate anything at all to this amazing charity through my fundraiser, it would mean the absolute world to myself and my family. Thank you!"
