Derbyshire PR agency launches free consultations for local businesses
“PR can sometimes feel like something businesses know they should be doing, without knowing where to start.”
One of Derbyshire's longest-established PR agencies is offering businesses owners free, no obligation consultations to find out how PR can help them.

Penguin PR has launched a new website and branding as it moves into its next chapter.
The new look was developed with the support of local creative businesses Think Plus Ink, Gravity Digital and AV it Media, bringing together expertise in branding, digital and media to create a new font, colour scheme and set of digital brand assets.
Established 16 years ago by former journalists Sarah Newton and Simon Burch, Penguin PR brings newsroom experience and a journalist’s eye for a good story to its work with businesses and organisations across the East Midlands and beyond.
Its clients span a range of sectors and include sportswear brand HUUB, Derby Cathedral, Derby Museums Trust, COSMO and Mercia Marina. The agency also has extensive experience of working with schools, multi-academy trusts and education businesses.
The new branding and website better reflect the agency’s approach: working closely with clients to understand their organisations, uncover the stories worth telling and build communications that support their wider ambitions.
Sarah Newton, director of Penguin PR, said: “PR can sometimes feel like something businesses know they should be doing, without knowing where to start.
“You might have an interesting business, an expert team or a great story, but when you’re close to it every day, it can be difficult to see what would interest someone outside your organisation.
“That’s particularly relevant now, when the way people find and consume information is changing. Whether it’s a journalist looking for an expert to comment on an issue, a potential customer researching a business or someone using AI to find an answer, there’s real value in having something useful to say and sharing it well.
“We want to make it easy for businesses to have a conversation with us, without any obligation. Half an hour could be enough to identify a story, spot an opportunity or give someone a fresh perspective on their communications.”
Simon Burch, director of Penguin PR, said: “When Sarah and I established Penguin PR 16 years ago, our backgrounds in journalism shaped the way we approached PR. We understood what makes a story interesting, what makes it credible and how to get it in front of the right people
“That thinking still underpins everything we do. Our new branding and website let us show more clearly what Penguin PR stands for today, while staying true to the principles we’ve built the agency on.
“For our clients, that means a close working relationship with an experienced team that cares about finding the right story and making it count.”
