7. Motor racing
Donington Park is hosting the Historic Sports Car Club for a weekend of classic racing. Competing during Saturday and Sunday will be the Aurora and Geoff Lees Trophy, the Historic Road Sports, 70s Road Sports, Historic Touring Cars and Classic Clubmans. 8. Foodie's heaven
Shipley Country Food and Drink Festival is running over the weekend of June 18 and 19 at Shipley Country Park in Heanor. There will be artisan and locally produced food, craft ale, gin bar, live music and children's entertainment. Admission is free to the festival which runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm on both days.
