But the imposition of Tier 3 restrictions on the National Park means diners won’t be able to eat in at venues until rules are relaxed – creating an air of uncertainty about hospitality businesses’ festive prospects.
However, several places have already announced that they will be offering complete Christmas meals for customers to enjoy at home, taking all the hassle out of buying and preparing a Yuletide feast.
Here are those that have revealed their plans so far – more are likely to get involved as Advent gathers pace.
Noble House Prepared
Launched by catering business Noble House Events with food prepared by chefs who learned at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants, this service will deliver traditional turkey and all the trimmings, beef and vegan options to customers. It can all be cooked in under an hour and consists of frozen mains, sides and desserts, with prices from £44. Drinks including wines and fizz are available too. (https://noblehouseprepared.com)
The Corner Cupboard
The Corner Cupboard cafe in Buxton delivers in and around the town. On its festive menu there is a pigs-in-blankets hoagie – a large submarine sandwich for the unfamiliar – as well as an enormous Christmas dinner served in a big tray. The latter always sells out quickly, the cafe advises. (https://www.facebook.com/thecornercupboardbuxton)
Fischer’s Baslow Hall

Head chef Nathan Wall and his team have created what’s described as the ‘ultimate Christmas Day lunch’ for a minimum of two, four, or six people – importantly, this is only available for collection on Christmas Eve. Quail terrine, beef sirloin, millionaire shortbread, cheeses and petit fours are on the menu. (https://www.fischers-baslowhall.co.uk/christmas-fischers-at-home)
