The Peak District is a great place to take the family, but it always poses the question – how can you keep your kids entertained? Thankfully, we’ve put together a list of seven things that they’ll (probably) love doing. That’s the great thing about the Peak District – there’s something for everyone here.
5. Caving
If there's one thing that the Peak District has in abundance, it's caves. If your kids are adventurous types, this is something they'll enjoy. Make sure you keep a close eye on them though - caving can be dangerous. Photo: -
6. Canoeing/Kayaking
For active kids, canoeing is an excellent activity. It's both challenging and relaxing, perfect for a day out in the Peak District. Kayaking is considerably tougher, given it's done by only one person. However, if your child feels up to the challenge, why not let them have a go? Photo: Michael Gillen
7. Rock Climbing/Abseiling
Now for something a bit more difficult. Rock climbing and abseiling aren't for the faint of heart, but it'll be a thrilling experience for your kids - and one they'll never forget (hopefully for the right reasons!). Again, the Peak District is full of spots to do this, but never attempt it without proper gear and supervision. Photo: -
